Bridget

After a lengthy process, Bridget was finally diagnosed with Friedreich’s ataxia at the age of nine.

Her slow progression allowed her to walk through high school, but when in need of a mobility device upon starting college, she turned to a Segway. She relies on this in her every day life in Charleston, South Carolina where she is a kindergarten teacher.

She moved south because it was easier to get around in climate without snow, as her hometown is Buffalo, NY.

Bridget attended Elon University in North Carolina and received her Master’s Degree from the College of Charleston.
