The 11th Annual CHOP FA Symposium will be held at the Crowne Plaza Valley Forge in King of Prussia, PA.  The meet-and-greet will be on Sunday October 14th from 6:00-7:30 pmat the hotel.  The Symposium will be held on Monday October 15th from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, also at the Crowne Plaza. Registration for the event is being run purely through the CHOP CME department cloud website at  ALL attendees must create an account by following the prompts on the websiteand register through the website. 

CHOP has received a record number of clinical appointments requests this year and therefore anticipates an increased number of symposium registrants. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis until the registration cap has been met.

Registration Instructions:

  • Access the cloud site at
  • Click the blue bar on the right hand side that says – Sign In or Create an Account
  • Create an account profile (requires valid email and an individual password)
  • Enter the required information - (please be sure to access our website using a desktop or laptop – this site does not support mobile devices)
  • In the Degree field please choose none or other if none of the medical degrees apply, for Credit designation field please choose Non-Physician.
  • Once account is created – Select Sign-In again
  • Now you can register for any of our upcoming conferences by signing in with your username and password  
  • Please select “Live Courses” to view all conference details/register.  You will be given the option to pay online; however you can also provide payment by physically mailing a check or providing credit card information via telephone/email.  Once payment has been processed you will receive a confirmation via email.

Please direct all questions regarding the Symposium directly to the CHOP Continuing Medical Education Department at 215-590-5263.  Dr. Lynch's team will NOT be able to process your payments, assist with website/account issues, or make hotel reservations for you.

General Travel Information

Information about hotel reservations for the Symposium is included in the attached program.  There is a block of discounted rooms at the Crowne Plaza reserved specifically for this event; the discounted price expires on September 21st.  Please mention “Friedreich’s Ataxia – The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia” when making your reservation.  In addition, please refer to the Septa website for information about the local train and bus systems (  There are no trains that directly travel to King of Prussia; however, the bus routes that travel between Philadelphia and King of Prussia are #124 and 125.

Dr. Lynch has a very limited availability on the dates immediately before and after this event.  Please note, all appointments will be held at the main CHOP campus in Philadelphia.  There will be no availability at the King of Prussia clinic location this year.

Due to the Symposium and Ride Ataxia, CHOP always receives a higher volume of appointment requests and will do their best to accommodate you.  When you request an appointment, please plan to have your insurance information available for review, and make arrangements to send your updated medical records to CHOP prior to your appointment.
