Host Sydney has created an awareness and fundraising campaign for a rare genetic disorder, Friedreich's Ataxia, after a staff member's son was diagnosed with the disease.
Host broadcast production director Kaija Wall's son Jai was diagnosed with the disease which strikes the nervous system, leading to muscle weakness, diabetes and heart disease.
The campaign, called 'Lend Us Some Muscle', is asking people to pledge their support on social media and spread the word by striking a body builder pose. People are also being asked to help fund research into the incurable disease.
So far, the campaign has raised $11,800 with donations coming in from Australia, the US and the UK.
