Study Overview:

The Department of Neurology at Massachusetts General Hospital is looking for people to participate in a remote research study to develop measurement technologies that can help improve clinical trials in Friedreich’s ataxia.

Anyone considering participating in a clinical trial should discuss the matter with their physician. FARA does not endorse or recommend any particular studies.

Study Details:

This remote study involves one week of wearing a wrist and ankle sensor at home, completing tasks on your computer, and answering quality-of-life surveys.

The study team will ship all the supplies needed to complete the study to your home address. There is a $25 gift card compensation.

Key Inclusion Criteria:

  • Have a diagnosis of Friedreich’s ataxia OR be a healthy control
  • Be an English speaker
  • Be at least 2 years old

Additional inclusion and exclusion criteria may apply and will be evaluated by a study doctor.

Length of Study Commitment:

  • One week
