Mackenzi Coker is a Clinical Operations Manager at FARA, where she supports the coordination and execution of studies within the FA Global Clinical Consortium, including the UNIFAI Natural History Study and its sub-studies.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of South Florida and her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Florida Atlantic University. With a clinical background in aerodigestive health and orofacial myology, Mackenzi brings a specialized perspective to her work in research. Prior to joining FARA, she spent six years in neuromuscular research, including four and a half years focused on Friedreich’s ataxia.
Outside of work, Mackenzi enjoys being on the water, especially boating and sailing, and volunteering as a pet therapy team with her Goldendoodle, Bailey.
