May is FA Awareness Month!

In recognition of FA Awareness Day on May 16, the month of May is devoted to raising awareness about Friedreich’s ataxia (FA) and accelerating progress toward treatments and a cure.

It takes the entire FA community to move research forward, and awareness is a key driver of progress.

Join us in raising awareness this May by submitting your “Cure FA” photo!

We invite you to take part in FARA’s #CommunityToCureFA social campaign by sharing your most creative #cureFA photos.

Make a “cure FA” sign or spell it out in crayons or coins, fruit, or even Legos! Then, snap a photo of you with your creation and post it on social media with #CommunityToCureFA.

Anyone who submits a photo to FARA by May 12 will have their photo shared on FARA social media on FA Awareness Day, May 16, and be entered into a drawing for FARA swag!

Donate to FA Research

Your donation can accelerate breakthroughs.

FARA is receiving more research grant applications than ever before — but developing those ideas into treatments depends on you. Help us make a difference by supporting FARA’s mission to treat and cure FA.

Together, we will slow, stop, reverse and cure FA!
