While this condition can change your physical ability, it cannot change who you are as a person.

Sydni Dupre has served as a FARA ambassador since 2023 and dedicates her time to supporting the FA community and its efforts to search for a cure. She uses her social media presence to spread awareness about Friedreich's ataxia and to share her life, helping others learn about the effects of FA. Noah has served as a FARA ambassador since 2020 and dedicates his time to building and connecting the FA community. Noah graduated in 2023 from Auburn University with a B.A. in journalism. He is a sports journalist but also runs his own blog page where he shares about his life with FA. His favorite FA event is the Cure FA Soirée in Oklahoma City. Claire has served as a FARA ambassador since 2024 and dedicates her time to meeting new people and making her voice heard in the community. Claire is currently a junior in high school. She loves all of her classes and enjoys participating in extracurricular activities, such as her school's theater program and the manager for her school's volleyball and tennis teams. Her favorite events are the FARA & CHOP symposium and rideATAXIA Chicago. Brona has served as a FARA ambassador since 2023 dedicates her time to increasing awareness in the FA community, learning more about FA and sharing that knowledge. Brona enjoys riding a trike, riding her pony Charmer (who she has had for 20 years), doing physio/hydro therapy exercises and learning new things. Brona has a job which she enjoys and now can do from home. She works for four days a week and, before working, she did several years of higher education. Her favorite FARA event is the FA Symposium in Philadelphia as she gets to meet so many individuals with FA. Brona would tell someone newly diagnosed, "Don't hide away if you are newly diagnosed with FA."

She likes to read books and learn about the entertainment business. Megan is the youngest of her family, and has a bachelor's degree in Psychology. Her favorite FARA events are the rideATAXIA events. Dillon has served as a FARA ambassador since 2024 and dedicates his time to raise awareness and show succession & positive stories of those in the FA and others in the disability community. He loves spending time in an outdoor environment or doing physical activities like playing wheelchair rugby, camping, or fishing. He also loves spending time with his friends and family and helping his community where needed. His favorite FARA event is the Lend Us Your Muscle. Dillon would tell someone newly diagnosed, “FA might seem challenging but always keep a positive outlook and remember, you can still do anything just in a different way but never give up and set long term goals that you want for yourself and focus on them to see and never look back”.

Dylan has served as a FARA ambassador since 2019 and dedicates his time to raise funds for research, spread awareness of this rare disease, and overall encourage a higher level of communication. He loves dogs and almost anything involving art. His favorite FARA event was the McDonnell Music Festival (2008-2017), followed closely by the Bullpen Open (donating to FARA for more than 20 years). Dylan would tell someone newly diagnosed, “Pay attention to those five senses but just as important is your sense of humor."
