Anna Morrow

Anna has served as a FARA ambassador since 2024 and dedicates her time to supporting critical research efforts and deepening connection in the FA community. Anna is currently a full-time student looking forward to her transition to college. In her free time, Anna enjoys spending time on a field watching her teams at school and in Baltimore. Anna's favorite FARA event is rideATAXIA Philadelphia where she has the opportunity to connect with her FAmily and raise funds within her local community for FARA. Anna would tell someone newly diagnosed to “have gratitude through the struggle."

Kailey has served as a FARA ambassador since 2019 and dedicates her time to raising awareness & funds to aid in research. She enjoys reading many genres of books as well as spending time with her boyfriend Zac & two dogs, Beaux & Roscoe. Her favorite FARA event is the Cure FA Soirée. Kailey would tell someone newly diagnosed to make friends with people within the FA community & always know that you aren’t alone.

Katherine has served as a FARA ambassador since 2024 and dedicates her time to getting as many free t-shirts from FARA as possible. She graduated from MIT with an engineering degree and works as a software developer. Her favorite FARA event is rideATAXIA Boston. Katherine would tell someone newly diagnosed, "You are still in charge of your story. Decide how you want it to go, then make it real."

Dragana Obadić

Dragana has served as a FARA ambassador since 2023 and dedicates her time staying positive and supportive to FA community peer representatives and also to raising Friedreich’s ataxia awareness. She has a master's degree in economics. Dragana likes to keep herself socially active, always think positively, and avoids stressful social situations. She also enjoys reading a good book and keeping her mind occupied by solving crosswords. Her favorite FARA event is the FARA & CHOP FA Symposium 2023 because it was the first one she attended. Dragana would tell someone newly diagnosed, “You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy. Also, never trust your fears, they don't know your strength.”

Jamie Plourde

Jamie has served as a FARA ambassador since 2012 and dedicates her time to ensure that no one feels alone with FA and to continue to express the importance of working to find a cure. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with family and friends, but she is usually the happiest on the sidelines of her daughter’s sporting events. Her favorite person in the world is her 11-year-old daughter, Lily. Her favorite FARA event is the FA Adventure Day. Jamie would tell someone newly diagnosed, “Never stop smiling, never stop moving, and never give up!”

Allison has served as a FARA ambassador since 2018 and dedicates her time to bringing awareness to FA and helping newly diagnosed patients and their families. She spends her free time reading and exercising and is a mom to 12-year-old twin girls.

Chad has served as a FARA ambassador since 2024 and dedicates his time to help finding a cure for FA. Chad has a Bachelor's of Science in Chemical Engineering, and loves science, the environment, and fishing. He also enjoys meeting new members of the FAmily through clinical trials. His favorite FARA event is the Symposium in Philadelphia. Chad would tell someone newly diagnosed, "Remember it's okay to laugh."

Emily Rogez has served as a FARA ambassador since 2023 and dedicates her time spreading Friedreich's Ataxia awareness and sharing her story to the newly diagnosed hoping to help them with resources and support. Emily loves to travel and her favorite FARA events are the CHOP Symposium in Philadelphia, rideATAXIA events and the CureFA Soirée. Emily would tell someone newly diagnosed, "An FA diagnosis is not the end of the world, you can still do what you want you just may have to do it differently, live life to the fullest!"

Bianca has served as a FARA ambassador since 2021 and dedicates her time to try and spread positivity and awareness in any way she can. She loves knitting, drawing, music, and playing video games with friends. Bianca would like to tell someone who was newly diagnosed, “Everything might seem a little scary right now, but just know that there is an entire community that will support you and your loved ones through this whole adventure”.

Morgan has served as a FARA ambassador since 2017 and dedicates her time to helping others understand/survive a life with FA. She has 3 children and a husband who are her whole world! Her favorite FARA events are rideATAXIA (the one in Dallas and the one in Philadelphia.) Morgan would tell someone newly diagnosed, “Stretch, stretch, STRETCH! Your muscles will work better and have much more longevity if they are the appropriate length!"

Jean Walsh

Jean has served as an ambassador since 2013 and dedicates her time to helping others with FA feel less isolated. Jean can be found with her sweet service dog. She loves to garden, travel, do adventuresome things, read, and make messy watercolors. She is married with lots of nieces and nephews. Jean's favorite FARA event is The Race for Matt and Grace. Jean would tell someone newly diagnosed that they can live a full life with FA and that there is every reason to be hopeful for a cure.

Tyler Rogers

Tyler has been an FA ambassador since April 2024 and dedicates his time to encouraging FA patients to live publicly and fully. Tyler has a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree from Texas A&M University and is an economist for the Bureau of Labor Statistics. In his free time, he reads, watches movies, and is a diehard Aggie sports follower. Tyler recently attended his first FARA event in a Research Reception in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Tyler would tell someone newly diagnosed that it’s not the end of the world.
