Dragana has served as a FARA ambassador since 2023 and dedicates her time staying positive and supportive to FA community peer representatives and also to raising Friedreich’s ataxia awareness. She has a master's degree in economics. Dragana likes to keep herself socially active, always think positively, and avoids stressful social situations. She also enjoys reading a good book and keeping her mind occupied by solving crosswords. Her favorite FARA event is the FARA & CHOP FA Symposium 2023 because it was the first one she attended. Dragana would tell someone newly diagnosed, “You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy. Also, never trust your fears, they don't know your strength.”

Jamie Plourde
Jamie has served as a FARA ambassador since 2012 and dedicates her time to ensure that no one feels alone with FA and to continue to express the importance of working to find a cure. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with family and friends, but she is usually the happiest on the sidelines of her daughter’s sporting events. Her favorite person in the world is her 11-year-old daughter, Lily. Her favorite FARA event is the FA Adventure Day. Jean has served as an ambassador since 2013 and dedicates her time to helping others with FA feel less isolated. Jean can be found with her sweet service dog. She loves to garden, travel, do adventuresome things, read, and make messy watercolors. She is married with lots of nieces and nephews. Jean's favorite FARA event is The Race for Matt and Grace. Jean would tell someone newly diagnosed that they can live a full life with FA and that there is every reason to be hopeful for a cure.

Tyler has been an FA ambassador since April 2024 and dedicates his time to encouraging FA patients to live publicly and fully. Tyler has a Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree from Texas A&M University and is an economist for the Bureau of Labor Statistics. In his free time, he reads, watches movies, and is a diehard Aggie sports follower. Tyler recently attended his first FARA event in a Research Reception in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
