FARA & CHOP FA Symposium

Registration is now open for the 2026 Friedreich’s Ataxia Symposium, hosted by the Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA) and the Friedreich’s Ataxia Center of Excellence at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

This year’s symposium will take place on Monday, October 12, 2026, at the Crowne Plaza in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. Welcome Reception will begin at 6pm on the evening of Sunday, October 11, followed by a full day of educational presentations and discussions on Monday.

Whether you are living with FA, a caregiver for a loved one, or interested in the latest research and advances, the Symposium offers an opportunity to learn from experts, connect with other families, and engage with the broader FA community.

Attendees may participate either in person or virtually, and Spanish interpretation and translation services will be available for both formats.

Before the symposium begins, we invite you to gather with the FA community at Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, PA, for a day of movement, connection, and fun. Whether you choose a 3-, 6-, 26-, or 46-mile ride, a 1.4-mile walk/ride on campus, or simply join us for lunch, there’s a way for everyone to participate.
