Kara joined FARA’s patient engagement team in 2023 and brings nearly a decade of experience in biotech and drug development, specializing in patient advocacy and patient engagement. In her role at FARA, Kara focuses on the FA community’s involvement with pharmaceutical partners working on potential treatments for FA and helps with community education initiatives. Prior to joining FARA, Kara worked at Reata Pharmaceuticals and quickly built strong professional and personal connections with the FA community along the way. She holds a B.S. from Texas A&M University in Biomedical Sciences with a focus in neuroscience.
